How will you create a customized "Shutdown" button on Windows Desktop?

Nowadays due to the busy schedule, it become necessary to make shortcuts while you're working using a Windows Computer. Isn't it? 

So if you can create a customized Shutdown button it'll make the task easy for you to easily shutdown your Windows PCs without navigating to elsewhere or search for the "Shutdown" options in the start menu, specially if you're using Windows 8 / Windows 8.1 / Windows 10 or Windows 11. 

So let me make the task simple for you. You'll need just to follow the steps described below to create your own shutdown icon in your Windows Desktop. 

Steps to be followed!

1) In your Desktop, click on the Right Button by taking the cursor to any empty space of the desktop then Select "New" > "Shortcut" 



2) When the "New Shortcut" dialogue box appears, type the following command into the dialogue box without browsing anything:

shutdown /s /f /t 00


3) Rename the Icon as "Shutdown" so that you can straightly identify which kind of shortcut it is. Then click to the 'Finish' button to complete creating the shortcut. 


4) Right click on the shortcut then click on 'Properties'.


5) Click on 'Change Icon'. if any dialogue box appears, click OK to view the icons lists installed on your PC.



6) Choose the 'Red Shutdown' icon to identify the shortcut made for shutting down your Windows. 

7) Click OK. 

Now you've gotten your own shortcut of 'Shutdown'. Just double click on the file and your PC will shutdown accordingly. If this post made your day, please leave your replies on the comments section below.
